Sunray SR4, Swiss DVB-C

Hello everyone

Can someone help me to configure the Triple Tuner on the sunray sr4?

I already configured the Satellit settings (19.2, 13, 23.5, 28,2), that worked easily.
But the DVB-C settings is still a problem to me...


from the provider i got following informations:

Network-ID: 43016
Frequenz MHz: 410
Frequenz kHz: 410000
Modulation: QAM64
Symbolrate: 6900

The cables.xml looked like:

<transponder frequency="306000" symbol_rate="6900000" fec_inner="0" modulation="5"/>
<transponder frequency="314000" symbol_rate="6900000" fec_inner="0" modulation="5"/>
...


I tried to configure the DVB-C on LNB 5 (LNB 1-4 are satellites) like mentioned here:

User defined and "everything" zeros.


But with that configuration I can't find every channel with a manual search
using the infos from the cables.xml...
I find about 20 from over 200 channels (just on 2 frequencies from over 20)

My Questions:
How can I build my satellites.xml based on the information I got on cables.xml?
Someone any idea how I can find the channels from DVB-C?
Any help would be lovely!

Try doing manual scans with your frequecy detalis

qam64 = a FEC of 3/4

Please try manual scan first.

What I don't understand is how you calculate the transponder frequency in the xml file. You have this information from your provider
Network-ID: 43016
Frequenz MHz: 410
Frequenz kHz: 410000
Modulation: QAM64
Symbolrate: 6900

and you get
<transponder frequency="306000" symbol_rate="6900000" fec_inner="0" modulation="5"/>
<transponder frequency="314000" symbol_rate="6900000" fec_inner="0" modulation="5"/>

??? How to you get the frequenz 306000 and 314000?

I have the following inforamtion from my provider

Frequenz kHz: 426000
Modulation: QAM64
Symbolrate: 6900

So how would my xml file look like?

And one more question, is it right that I can't use the cable.xml with the trible tuner. I have to use satellites.xml. Right?

Sorry, but i still do not understand. Your second line is clear.
<transponder frequency="1426000" = Frequenz MHz: 426

But your first line?
<transponder frequency="1410000"??? Why? Is this a calculation? Gut feeling? Basic knowledge?

Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to work with the new driver (so i can see 3 tuners in settings...).
As I can see now I can use a cables.xml and satellites.xml separetely.
The satellit settings works.

But with the DVB-C search I can't find a channel.
Do I still have to modify the cables.xml (which worked on my DM500C)?

And when Yes in which way?
The settings looks like:

<transponder frequency="314000" symbol_rate="6900000" fec_inner="0" modulation="5"/>

These settings looks like that once you have above mentioned, so I'm little confused about what I have to do?

From my Provider I get following settings:
Frequence: 410
Modulation: QAM 64
Symbolrate: 6900

When I try a manual search with these settings it find 17 channels (from 400 or more...).
What could I do to improve this?

If you use the sunray 3in1 tuner, all (dvb-c/t/s) is configured in the satellites.xml !
Best is to add all the cable frequenties your provider uses in the satellites.xml.

I have the same issue I can just find 3 Cannels when i do a manual scan with enabled Network scan..
Can please anybode tell me what to write in the satellites.xml?
